The glowy thing in the background is suppose to be one of those neon things you would see maybe at a bar or something.
When drawing the shoes I used my own for reference.
Shoes take me FOREVER to draw.
I would think that if Gaara and Kankuro existed in 'this' world they would probably be punk-ish skaters, or loners.

I love the coloring (and the lineart)!
I've always thought that if Kankuro and Gaara existed, they would be labeled as rockers/goths (because I like that style) but I can easily imagine them as skaters, too.
