I would try to differ the light on the characters
the snow makes stuff that is far more white-ish and blurry
and generally things that are further should ahve a different light, I don't know, it just seems a bit flat to me

However, you probably should have added some snow above the mountains, since there's a lot of snow in the foreground, it should be snowing in the background too.

As for the snow in the background and mountians...well, There is nothing BUT snow in the background...you know how snowny mountains tend to have that blue tinge?
But I'll try and define the snow a little more
